Hello!
We are Krissy & Danny, the faces behind Mellows Photography.
We’ve been together since 2011 and finally married in May 2022 on the West Coast of Scotland.
We're all about travelling, we love visiting new places all over the world as often as we can.
Our perfect day would be venturing out somewhere beautiful with our golden retriever pup, Dusk, hiking or swimming, snapping away with our cameras and finishing the day off with tasty food and a good film.
Photography has been our passion for over a decade now and we absolutely love it! We’ve shot 100’s of weddings together and we feel so lucky to have the job we have, documenting incredible humans in love; it really feels like a privilege for us to be a part of such a special and intimate day.

A few facts about us
We love to travel and visit new places; we spent 2 & 1/2 years travelling and living in Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, New Zealand, Australia, Bali & India.
We toured the whole of Vietnam on a motorbike. Starting in Ho Chi Minh, going through the mountains and along the coast to Hanoi.
We love being outside, walking, swimming or cycling - nature is our happy place.
We have been together since Krissy was 19 and Danny 21.
We are ocean lovers and had our own sailboat for a time, which we proudly restored!
Krissy loves recreating favourite dishes discovered along the way while visiting other countries.
Danny is an artist, he paints oil on canvas, taking inspiration off his late Grandad who mainly studied landscapes.
We adore dogs! We love all life, but dogs have a special place in our hearts even more so since having our golden retriever pup, Dusk join our little family.
We recently bought a derelict cottage on the West Coast of Ireland which we’ll slowly be renovating.
We completed an entire circuit of Australia, living in a van. It took the best part of a year to do.
We are huge nerds for films and tv shows. Some stand out ones are Game of Thrones, Rick & Morty, Interstellar, LOTR and anything David Attenborough or Brian Cox.
We converted a VW Crafter van which we spent 2021-2022 travelling around in.
We love music of all kinds (Danny plays piano & guitar but dabbles in other instruments!)
Krissy reads books like they're out of fashion and mainly loves the fantasy fiction genre! Robin Hobb is an absolute fave.
We love animals! Especially elephants and dolphins (both of which we've been very lucky to have close encounters with)!
A dream of ours is to eventually sail across the Atlantic Ocean to the Caribbean at some point in our lifetime.
“I studied photography at Truro College in Cornwall. P
hotography fascinates me and I love it as an art form, I remember as a kid looking through albums upon albums of my Grandparents travels across the world, aspiring to do the same some day and I feel so grateful to be able to say that I've achieved that!
There really is something so special about photography; when the memories fade and remembering faces lose clarity, photographs will always be there to help trigger and ignite those lost memories!”
- Krissy
“My background is in music which took me to university but photography has always been a part of my life; it’s been an ever evolving passion of mine for as long as I can remember. When I first met Krissy we bonded over our love for photography and ever since then we've been taking photos together.
My grandad was an amazing artist and I'd always found it mind blowing as to how he could create beautiful oil paintings with such depth and perspective; I think this is where my eye for getting good shots originated.”
